"Tsvangirai Can Go Hang" - Mugabe

Image
Robert "The Solution" Mugabe reads a brochure day before yesterday (Friday 22 October 2009) in Uganda as he attended an African Union Summit on Refugees. He has now returned home where he told reporters that he is not going to do anything the MDC-T and Prime Tsvangirai want him to do, essentially telling them to go and hang. Harare, Zimbabwe, 24 October 2009 Robert "The Solution" Mugabe has essentially told Morgan TSvangirai to go and hang, saying he and ZANU PF will not do anything about the issues the MDC-T are complaining about and insisting that the Prime Minister and his party will come back into government empty-handed. "They can go to any (SADC) Summit, any part of the world to appeal, we will not do that," Mugabe, who has been in Uganda attending an African Union Summit, told reporters. The Zimbabwean dictator also for the first time confirmed that he has reneged on his promise to swear in Provincial Governors and Resident Ministers from the MDC-T,...

SADC Makes Fools Out Of The MDC-T

This was the last straw desperate MDC-T and Tsvangirai apologists were clinging to, that Jacob Zuma would read Mugabe the riot act, unlike the hated Mbeki. On Saturday, Mugabe was pallying around with Zuma at the SADc Heads of State meeting in Johannesburg as can be seen here. Then King Mswati emerged to tell reporters that no one had written to them to complain about Zimbabwe and they will, therefore, not be discussing it. The MDC-T leadership meets today in Harare in a panic response to this development. They will only issue more meaningless deadlines and resolutions that are not very resolute at all. I did tell you, did I not, almost a month ago, to hysterical cries of protest from MDC-T and Tsvangirai apologists ,that outstanding issues will remain outstanding. It is now official. King Mswati, who was living it up with Gideon Gono and Robert "Tsvangirai's Solution" Mugabe at Gono's farm a couple of weeks back, has said that "no official" complaint has be...

Britain, America and The West Dump MDC

Image
SADC Heads of State pose for a group photograph yesterday at their summit in Swaziland, where they once again told Zimbabwe they can help financially and can only try and lobby the west to lift sanctions. Prof Welshman Ncube and Tendai Biti of the MDC said at the meeting that "the sanctions have had an effect on the economy". The Heads of State have pledged to specifically target the Zimbabwe Democracy and Economic Recovery Act in the United States, lobbying for it to be repealed. The MDC has now effectively admitted that it has been cut loose by its friends and allies in the West and has to instead seek the intercession of Zimbabwe's neighbours to talk to its former allies in the West about helping the limping Inclusive government. Yesterday, Tendai Biti, the MDC Minister of Finance in this Inclusive Zimbabwean government, together with Robert Mugabe and Prof Welshman Ncube, asked the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Heads of State to intercede on Zimbabwe...
