Right Again! Clinton is Secretary Of State!

The day the USA election results were announced, we did a post here as we watched Obama's acceptance speech. In that post, we said we thought the best thing Obama could do to strengthen America's profile in the world would be to appoint Hilary Clinton Secretary of State. Mind you, that was before Obama even had a shortlist for any of the positions in his administration except Chief of Staff. This was at a time when most pundits everwhere, including in America, thought even the suggestion was ridiculous! Denford was called a daydreamer by one SA blogger for suggesting this was possible!
Our job is to look at events and analyse them. We extrapolate from them what is most likely to happen, how and why. It is called reading a situation. We put emotion to the side, because that is incompatible with a dispassionate examination of the issue at hand. This is an approach that is sorely needed in Zimbabwe today, where we must look coldly at what can be done to save Zimbabwean lives as opposed to what should be done.

It appears Obama read that blog post on that election morning -not! (In fact, it also appears that a certain ex-president of South Africa renowned for his internet surfing when he was in office also stopped by this blog over the weekend: check out the recent comments box).

It has just been announced that President-elect Obama will hold a press conference later on today (Monday) at which he will nominate Senator Clinton for the post of Secretary of State (Minister of Foreign Affairs).

Damn, we're good!

But the sour grapes members of our society will obviously scoff. Let them. We're too chuffed at the moment to care!

  1. Indeed you make very accurate predictions but please humble yourself and stop making comments like, " Damn, we're good! But the sour grapes members of our society will obviously scoff. Let them. We're too chuffed at the moment to care!"
It will be nicer if you behaved like gentlemen and stopped blowing your own horns and let others blow the horns for you. Work on your demeanor so that it reflects well in your articles and comments.
