TERRENCE MUKUPE IS BEING FRAMED

Terrence Mukupe should be fired from his position as Deputy Minister of Finance. But not for saying that the Military will never allow Chamisa to rule. Because he did not say that. Have any of the people up in arms against what Terrence said actually listened to his speech. There is a video. It is attached to this post. The truth of the matter is that what I saw in the Newsday headline "Army Won't Let Chamisa Rule: Minister", is not what I heard on the video. More importantly for anyone who has the interests of the country at heart, is understanding why Newsday would frame this speech in the false manner that they have, They support Chamisa, they have made no secret of that. Which is fine and not a bad thing at all. But this report is designed deliberately and directly to undermine the results of the election should they go against him. This is a report purely framed to give credence to an unfree and unfair election before even official campaigning has started...

Mugabe's Last-Minute Instructions To His Soldiers Show Where Real Power Lies In Zimbabwe

Image
Robert "Morgan Tsvangirai's Solution" Mugabe receives the Honour Salute at Entebbe Airport in Kampala, Uganda upon his arrival for the African Union Heads of State and Government Summit on Refugees. Mugabe had just left Zimbabwe where he huddled publicly with his Defence Minister and top commander for last minute instructions at Harare International Airport. It is ironic that he should be attending this summit after having caused the fleeing of countless Zimbabweans who have claimed refugee status in South Africa, Britain, the USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and other countries. But we have always known that the dictator has no shame. Harare, Zimbabwe, 22 October 2009 Those of you who are not in Zimbabwe would not have seen this, but I was surprised that even the people here in Zimbabwe missed the significance of an occurrence at the airport yesterday, where Mugabe was preparing to fly out to Uganda to attend yet another useless Summit and line his pockets with even m...

Zimbabwe's Military Government Has Now Shown Its Hand

Image
Harare, Zimbabwe 02 October 2009 After the shocking developments of Wednesday, when Commissions and Boards of Directors for Zimbabwe's media were packed full of military men by Mugabe and ZANU PF, it has now emerged that, in fact, Zimbabwe is a military state in the mould of Angola. A senior ZANU PF official who I spoke to yesterday afternoon was quite clear to me about this. He stated quite openly: "There was a military coup in this country on June 27 last year (the date of the violent presidential run-off election between Mugabe and Tsvangirai ). The Inclusive Government changed nothing because Tsvangirai did not negotiate with the military. He negotiated with Gushungo (Mugabe)." Apart from the breach of the spirit behind the Inclusive Government, I was merely now trying to find out what the reasoning is behind putting soldiers in charge of media matters across the board, from Supervisory bodies to the functional boards of directors. This was the answer. Zimbabwe is i...

"Tendai Biti Will Be Dead By Year-End"

Image
Tendai Biti, seen here in conversation with Mugabe, has had his life threatened and his staff thoroughly beaten up by soldiers. Sources in the military say there is a determination to do him in by the end of the year. I do not think he should take any of this seriously at all. Unless Tendai Biti backs off from Gideon Gono, he will be dead by the end of the year and there is nothing anybody can do about it. This is according to sources in the Defence Forces. Clearly, it is intimidation, and it may or may not have substance behind it. Still, it bears bringing to your attention because the fight has now escalated into the physical realm. This revelation comes as it emerges that on Saturday, 01 August 2009, one of Biti's aides at his home in Harare was thoroughly beaten up by soldiers who guard the home of the Commander of the Zimbabwe Army. The MDC-T released a statement identifying the attacker. Police are denying that any report has been to them. Last week, Biti received a bullet i...
