Mugabe Sells Tsvangirai Another Dummy

Image
Morgan Tsvangirai is seen here with Arthur Mutambara in February announcing that the appointments of Permanent Secretaries by Mugabe without Prime Ministerial consultation was "null and void". He was subsequently sold (and bought) the dummy that the PermSecs were non-partisan civil servants!! This time round, Mugabe is throwing Tsvangirai another lifeline on one of the outstanding issues, allowing the Prime Minister to save face while accepting to go back into Cabinet and rescind his decision to disengage from ZANU PF. Mugabe has studied his Prime Minister (and the MDC-T) well. Harare, Zimbabwe, 23 October 2009 Robert "The Solution" Mugabe is getting very good at reading Morgan Tsvangirai, his Prime Minister and leader of the MDC-T. Today, it is announced that the MDC ministers nominated by Tsvangirai and Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara will be posted to their missions in December. Previously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (who vowed at the beginning of the...

Tsvangirai Addresses Journalists, Begs SADC To Put Zimbabwe On The Agenda

Image
Morgan Tsvangirai, with a gold watch around his wrist, addresses the press today at Harvest House, the MDC Head Office in Central Harare. He lamented the failure by Mugabe to swear in Roy Bennett and MDC Governors as well as the continued presence of the Reserve Bank Governor and Attorney General in office. The press conference was called specifically to bed SADC to put Zimbabwe on the agenda of the summit being held in Kinsasha in the next two weeks Harare, Zimbabwe, 01 September 2009 As it was confirmed today that SADC has not put Zimbabwe on its agenda for the Summit in the Democratic Republic Congo where Joseph Kabila takers over the body's chairmanship in two weeks time, Morgan Tsvangirai today addressed a press conference in Harare. He asked that SADC put Zimbabwe on the agenda, saying the regional body should place the Zimbabwe issue "for special consideration" on the Summit's agenda. I warned the Prime Minister's office that Zimbabwe had been left off the ...

Revealed: Mugabe's Excuses To Tsvangirai For Not Swearing-In Governors

Image
OATH OF OFFICE: Despite promises and announcements from the MDC-T that their Governors and Resident Ministers would be sworn in by the end of August, the Zimbawean dictator, Robert "The Solution" Mugabe has now run away to Libya, where he is today, the last day of August. MDC Governors and Resident Ministers are still to be sworn in, as is Roy Bennett. MDC Ambassadors are still twiddling their thumbs here in Harare, waiting for the Almight Robert to make his mind up about posting them to their stations. Now we have impeccable information on what Mugabe is giving as the excuse for his failure to do any of the things agreed to with Tsvangirai. And the Prime Minister is swallowing it hook, line and sinker, as are his supporters. Like I have said before, the "Outstanding Issues" will remain outstanding for some time to come. Harare, Zimbabwe 31 August 2009 Only moments ago, I got information about why exactly Robert "The Solution" Mugabe refuses to swear-in MD...

Scoop!: Trudy Stevenson To Be Appointed Ambassador

Image
Trudy Stevenson, widely viewed as one of the most courageous opposition figures (she was beaten badly by Tsvangirai youths at the time of the MDC split) has now been offered post of ambassador in Sudan Harare, Zimbabwe, 24 August 2009 The Arthur Mutambara MDC has resolved to appoint Trudy Stevenson, a former MDC MP as ambassador, after their nominated choice, Siyabonga Ncube threw sand in the faces of his leadership by refusing to take up his ambassadorial appointment. His refusal is tied to the infighting that is going on now within the MDC Mutambara, which is being fanned rigorously by Mirgan Tsvangirai, who has set his sights on winning back the disgruntled MPs and even the grassroots voters of Mutambara's party. Trudy Stevenson walked away from the Morgan Tsvangirai faction of the MDC when the party split and was brutally assaulted by youths loyal to Morgan Tsvangirai at the time, who were accusing the breakaway faction of trying to dethrone Tsvangirai. Stevenson will be posted...

Mugabe Suspends MDC Ambassador Appointments

Image
Joey Bimha, the Permanent Secretary in the Zimbabwe Foreign Affairs Ministry, has announced that MDC ambassadors are not going to be posted to their missions this year because the government "is broke". They will finish their training and then sit there twiddling their thumbs, possibly until the end of this Inclusive Government. Meantime, Roy Bennett is not sworn in, governors are not sworn in.........this Global Political Agreement is a joke Harare, Zimbabwe, 16 August 2009 While MDC lackeys and apologists prematurely celebrated the "appointments" of ambassadors from their parties, Robert Mugabe has, as usual, been busy plotting and it has now been announced that the candidates for these posts will not be posted to their respective missions. Even before Morgan Tsvangirai was sworn in, I told you on this very blog, in an article entitled "MDC Dreaming" says Zimbabwe Foreign Affairs Officials , (which I wrote early February, after Tsvangirai had announced h...

Tsvangirai Appoints "Girlfriend" As Ambassador

Image
Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai is being accused by senior members of his own party of having given an ambassadorial post to a girlfriend Harare, Zimbabwe, 02 August 2009 Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has confirmed the appointment of a woman alleged to be his girlfrend to one of the ambassadorial posts that the MDC-T have been promised, according to sources in the MDC-T. The woman, alleged refered to as JZ by people close to the PM, has reportedly been appointed for Australia or one of the antipodean countries. This lady herself has never hidden her alleged relationship with the Prime Minister and in fact sought to play it up all of last year. During the elections of March 2008, she got in touch with one of Simba Makoni's colleagues and asked him to convince Makoni to stand down and endorse Tsvangirai. "As you know, I have special relationship with MT and I can assure you that Makoni would get the post of Prime Minister if he did that and MT won", she is reported by t...
