These are thugs, period. Their thuggery has thrown our country to where it is now.

I grew up in Sanyati (famous for cotton) near Sanyati Arda and indeed Joseph Made was the CEO of Arda. When I started work in Harare I remember my dad phoning me asking for some money to buy implements ARDA was selling. I did, about $360 ZWD then. When I visited, he showed me some shifting spanners and old tyres he had bought.

Thats how the ARDA enterprise had become so broke under the stewartship of Made. They sold even screw drivers them.

It shocked me when Made was appointed and announced as the Minister of Agriculture. As a young banker then, I fought with my father on the phone (a headmaster and typical ZANU Pf supporter) and he didnt understand my argument that the fact that he had bought old tyres, spanners and screw drivers from a former successful employer and business, the business had gone bust.

What happened after he became the land minister, they took away farms and shared amongst themselves and destroyed Agriculture, our country's backbone. The network is more complicated that people can imagine and a land audit isnt that easy because of corruption and suppression of evidence supported by a concoted system. It spans from the very messenger and secretary at the governement printing office to th cook at statehouse.

The land audit is one project that will fall by the wayside just like willogate and VIP housing scheme and many other, unless MDC get into full control of governement. I bet my bottom dollar.

I have been to the farm just after Mazowe Dam. There are beautiful houses there. As you mentioned its diarelect and the houses are ghostly.

Let me encourage you on behalf of the deprived, the voiceless, the victimised and those whose properties have been stollen in broad daylight and yet had financial obligations to banks and different lenders, DO MORE.

Drive from Beitbridge and ask the owners of those cattle ranches around Ngundu. You will hear the same names that you will hear if you go down to Chiredzi (Sugar cane), Masvingo (Cattle)right to Manicaland (fruit production) and Mashonaland. Its damn the bloody same names: Muzembis, Musakwas,Gonos, Chihuris, Kasukuweres, Zvinavashes,Phiris, Shiris, Bonyongwes, Nhemas, Nkomos, Perm Sec so and so, Major Gen so and so, Security so and so (C10s), CMED staff, etc and even the Rushwayas in ZIFA!! Hallo?

Its sickening. At this stage, doomed we are because those, our trusties (the MDC ) are too weak to effect the change we have been clomouring since September 1999. At best they seem to profer conflicting statements and at worst the Mutsekwa's debacle with KMAL just renders shivers in any inverstor's spine.

Thanks and good luck, but cry my beloved country!

Dean, Auckland, New ZealandAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09508197653466007244noreply@blogger.com
